It’s time to for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to regulate fluoridated drinking water and fluoridation additives as drugs. The FDA does not currently regulate public drinking water or its additives, putting public safety at risk and leaving fluoridation without proper oversight or regulation. On June 1, 2015, Attorney Gerald Steel, along with ten organizations (including The Ecology Party of Florida, Food and Water Watch and Fluoride Action Network) joined together to submit a formal petition to the FDA requesting:
“That the FDA issue a regulation in 21 CFR Part 250 (or in another appropriate Part) stating that fluoridation chemical additives and fluoridated drinking waters are drugs pursuant to section 201(g)(1) of the FDCA when the intended use is to aid in the prevention, mitigation, and/or prophylactic treatment of dental caries disease (tooth decay, cavities).
It will be much more difficult for the FDA to ignore this petition if they get hundreds or even thousands of public comments in support of the petition. We have until August 27, 2015 to submit comments and attachments in support of this regulation. Please help by submitting a science or health-based comment, and please forward this email to others who oppose fluoridation. The FDA should respond to the Petition before January.

I just found out about this party and decided to join after doing some research. I hope we can end fluride in water. I drive a hybrid in an attempt to lower my carbon footprint. If we all tried just a little to stand up against the FDA and lower our carbon footprint well… who knows what we are capable of .

Please advise when the next meeting will be held. I would like to become more involved in the party, in hopes of establishing a stronger presence on the political grounds. The dual party system we seem to be heading towards is not democracy. There are many issues that need to be address and the other parties are either extreme left or right when there should be a balance of both. I feel that the Ecology Party can serve as that third party and the balanced choice that actually communicates the key issues; such as, the environmental crisis that we are experiencing.

Thanks for being a member of the Ecology Party. We’re always looking for people to work on environmental issues in their local areas and can help with advice.
We also believe that just by choosing ECO as your affiliation it sends a message of your priorities.
As you know, with a minor party, involved members are essential because we have only volunteers. Right now we’re still chipping away at toxic fluoridation
here in Florida and hope all in areas that fluoridate will contact their local politicians to voice their objections. A piece on climate fear extremism is just waiting to be posted.
